An Irish American family in White Plains, New York, is searching for 15-year-old Pierce Crowley, who has been missing since Friday.
The Iona Preparatory School freshman was last seen at the White Plains Metro-North station.
He is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds.
He has light brown hair, blue eyes, and wears braces. When he was last seen he was wearing dark jeans, a bright blue “Florida Gators” short-sleeve T-shirt, and black sneakers with lime-green trim.
News 12 reports that Crowley left New York Hospital in White Plains with a friend on Friday. They went to the The Cheesecake Factory and afterwards took a taxi to the train station and parted ways
On Sunday, Crowley’s parents, Peter and Gretchen, emailed their friends, according to local reports in the Journal News.
They told their friends “As some of you may already know, our dear Pierce is missing…He was not feeling well before he disappeared and is in a fragile state. It is URGENT that we locate him ASAP.”
Speaking to CBS Local news, Crowley’s mother said, “Our family loves and misses Pierce and we are very worried for him…The last four days and four nights have seemed like an eternity.”
His father, Peter, added that Pierce needs to know how much his family and friends love him. He needs to know people just want him home safely. He’s not in any trouble.”
His parents also mobilized a massive volunteer search effort. They have been distributing fliers in Westchester, Connecticut, Manhattan, and the Bronx, according to Peggy Dunne, a family friend.
Community groups, religious institutions and youth organizations across the country have received emails.
Dunne said “[Pierce] is a charming, talented, bright student and an amazing athlete…His family and his friends are just totally distraught about him missing.”
Anyone with information about Crowley’s disappearance is asked to contact the White Plains police at 914-422-6111. The family have also set up an email address [email protected] gmail.com. They are also offering a reward for information that leads to his safe return.
