An Irish American doctor has claimed he can scientifically cure hangovers and he has created a special Hangover Heaven facility on a bus to prove it.

Dr. Jason Burke is a physician in Las Vegas and after treating numerous people who had imbibed too much, he decided to open his own clinic.

He set up a bus complete with all the medical equipment he needed to help with the hangover.

“In the recovery room [in the Vegas hospital where he works] I treat people who have nausea, aches and pains and disoriented feelings,” he told the Irish Times.

“I treat that all the time with intravenous anti-nausea medications, anti-inflammatory and IV fluids. And I thought: this would treat a hangover. One day I had a bad hangover. I put in an IV with these medications and I was absolutely amazed at how well it worked.”

Now there are three separate treatments and the coach will pull up outside your hotel to ensure that the treatment comes to you. The treatment costs start at about $130.

The most expensive treatment called the Salvation costs $200 and the person receives intravenous hydration, anti-nausea and anti-inflammatory medications as well as “vitamin supplementation.” If you want it in your house it can cost up to $500.

Burke believes it works, “I can take you from a semi-conscious, porcelain-hugging, hit-by-a-truck hangover to feeling like you’re ready to take on the world in less than 45 minutes.”

However, many doctors disagree with Burke’s methods. Art Caplan, the director of the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania, told NBC news, “The Hangover Bus doctor is flying in dangerous territory.”

“I know this is Vegas but come on . . . ” said Caplan. “Docs should not offer to wash you out” after a heavy night’s drinking.

Burke says he has plans to extend the service to other states and Europe.
