U.S. Economic Envoy to Northern Ireland, Declan Kelly, today confirmed that the U.S. – NI Economic Conference to be hosted by U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, will take place on October 19th at the U.S. State Department in Washington D.C.  The one-day conference aims to bring together leading executives from targeted sectors that are considering investment in Northern Ireland and executives from U.S. companies already operating in the region.

First Minister Peter Robinson, deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness, and senior economic officials will participate in the conference.  In addition, members of both the U.S. and Northern Ireland Working Groups supporting Envoy Kelly’s mission will be in attendance.

“The Economic Conference provides a unique forum to showcase all that Northern Ireland offers to a selective, highly targeted group of companies,” said Envoy Kelly.

“The potential investors at the conference will have the opportunity to hear the business case for investing in Northern Ireland from the best possible advocates, namely those companies that have already invested in the region, “concluded Envoy Kelly.
