In a move that extends leading Irish chocolatier Lily O’Briens brand presence in the U.S., the company launched its new U.S. website last month. The new site allows U.S.-based fans the opportunity to order their favorite chocolate treats and collections without suffering the costly trans-Atlantic shipping charges from Ireland.

Lily O’Briens is the only Irish chocolatier to have put down roots in the U.S. with the opening of the Lily O’Briens Chocolate Cafe in Bryant Park, Manhattan. The café was the first location on Lily O’Briens’s U.S. market road map, with several retailers now being supplied by the company. Other café locations are already being planned for the New York area and throughout the country. 

The café is conveniently located at 36 West 40th Street in the midtown oasis of Bryant Park, just blocks from both Times Square and Grand Central Station. The cafe serves a mix of signature-blend hot beverages and the luxury award-winning chocolate collections that define the Lily O’Brien brand. 

Since 1992, Lily O’Briens has enjoyed a reputation for creating more than 180 varieties of premium chocolates based on the recipes of Mary Ann O’Brien, its founder.

In that time, demand for its products has steadily increased in Ireland, Europe and throughout Australia. The company’s fine chocolates can be found in the first- and- business-class cabins of more than 22 airlines.

Customers also include several high-end U.S. retailers that market the product under their own brands. The New York cafe marked a significant expansion for the company and paves the way for additional brand extension throughout the U.S. 

The U.S. cafe operations and new website are run by Lily O’Brien shareholder, Cathal Queally.

According to Queally, “We are very excited to see our new website up and running and to expand the Lily O’Brien presence in the U.S. market. Now fans of Lily O’Briens throughout the U.S. can purchase our chocolates online and have them in their hands within two to three days.”

The site includes many special offers not available in store, as well as a printable two for one coupon that patrons can redeem in the café for one of the signature hot chocolate drinks.

The new website was designed by award-winning Irish graphic designer Niall O’Kelly. Now based in Brooklyn, his client list also includes Ireland West Airport Knock and Kerry Foods in Ireland, and NYU, TIAA-CREF and MindSports in the U.S., among many others.
