Celitc fans have joined  together to establish an appeal fund for the family of Kevin McDaid, who was murdered in Coleraine, County Derry hours after Rangers won the SPL title in May.

McDaid, a Catholic community worker and father for four, was beaten to death in the early hours of May 24 by a mob wearing the colors of Glasgow Rangers.

McDaid's wife Evelyn sustained serious head injuries in the attack, and neighbor and friend Damian Fleming was attacked by a separate mob and also sustained serious injuries.

Police in Northern Ireland have since charged six men for McDaid's murder. Celtic supporters  have joined together to set up a website, www.rememberkevinmcdaid.com, and hope to raise funds to help Evelyn take care of her family.

A bank account has been opened and people can make donations there until November 13, when the money raised will be given to the McDaid family
