A Ryanair flight from Riga in Latvia to Dublin had to make an emergency landing in Denmark after a drunken passenger took off his shirt and began hitting cabin walls.

In amazing video footage, the man can be seen standing with his shirt off at the rear of the plane, stumbling around, flexing his muscles and making strange grunting noises. He then begins to punch the cabin walls before leaning onto the seats of other passengers.

The man had to restrained by fellow passengers and the plane’s pilot was forced to land at Aarhus Airport, Denmark  where the unruly passenger was arrested by police, the Irish Independent reports.

"We are fully assisting the police with their investigations and the individual has been banned from traveling on our airline," said a Ryanair spokesperson.

“We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behavior at any time and we sincerely apologized to other customers for any inconvenience caused. The safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority.”

A spokesperson for the East Jutland Police confirmed that the man spent the evening in police custom after his arrest. "He was uneasy on board the aircraft, and the staff could not handle him."
