VIDEO: SUSAN SINGING LIVE IN BELFAST - CLICK HERE

Now that Susan Boyle has recorded her first album track and Simon Cowell is delighted, maybe it is time to choose some favorite songs that Susan would surely do justice too.

Here's my top ten for her new album — add yours below.

The Rose by Bette Midler — Would be wonderful in Susan's hands, the soaring lyrics and notes would be perfectly in tune with her trained voice — a must-sing.

My Heart Will Go On — the 'Titanic' blockbuster is made for Susan — a great big song that will test her vocals to the limits — move over, Celine!

Some Enchanted Evening
— The gal can carry a showtune as 'Memories' shows clearly, and the classic from 'South Pacific' is perfect for her voice range.

Danny Boy
— usually sung by a male but can't you see her really hitting the high notes in splendid fashion —  a tribute to her Irish heritage, too.

I Dreamt I Dwelt in Marble Halls
— Enya has a wonderful version of it and would be interested to see how Susan would handle it — a beautiful old tune from the opera 'Bohemian Girl' — James Joyce used it several times in his book 'Dubliners'

My Way
-- Susan does Sinatra? Not as crazy as you might think — besides, this classic reflects much of Susan's life, too.

The Homes of Donegal
— A beautiful Paul Brady air that would also tie in to her parents' home county in Ireland and the theme of emigration.

I Will Survive
— a biographical song if ever there was one. A surprise perhaps and a tough song for her but maybe she could handle it.

Panis Angelicus
— Some church music from a woman who learned her basics in church choirs. A beautiful old song that she would do justice too.

America the Beautiful
— Love to see her try the greatest old American patriotic song of all. Bet she'd hit it out of the park.
