While on the media circuit for their latest movie “The Candidate”, co-stars Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis performed an impromptu reading of the erotic novel "50 Shades of Grey".

The two Hollywood actors each read out lines from the popular E.L. James love story which has topped bestseller lists around the world.

“The writing is exquisite,” Will Ferrell remarked  to his co-star after their reading.

In their latest movie Ferrell and Galifianakis play two rival candidates running for office in their North Carolina district.

Ferrell plays the role of long-term congressman Cam Brady and admitted he is amazed at how politicians maintain the demanding schedule of an election.

“They’re probably doing five to six cities as day, sometimes, and we’re just doing one and two and it’s tough,” Ferrell told Good Morning America. “I appreciate the amount of work they have to do in terms of getting out there and meeting and addressing everyone in the country. At the same time, it is an insane amount of work. You’re never not on camera with YouTube and everything like that. So it does take a certain amount of intestinal fortitude to want to run for office.”
