"I'm trying to romance her," said Rock, who is currently writing a new script and envisions McCarthy for one of the lead roles. The film features a “Jerry Springer couple,” according to Rock, and if he had his choice, it would be him and Melissa McCarthy in the roles.

McCarthy has had an impressive year ever since the debut of ‘Bridesmaids’ over the summer. She gained an Emmy in a stacked category for her role as Molly on CBS’s ‘Mike and Molly,’ and received both a Golden Globe nomination and an Oscar nomination for her role in ‘Bridesmaids.’

The Oscars will be announced live on February 26th on ABC.
