It’s National Camera Day 2018 and thank goodness for the invention of the camera because otherwise, we’d have to wait in between trips for these stunning pictures of Ireland.

Happy National Camera Day 2018! Ireland is nothing but picturesque and so we thought we'd celebrate the happy occasion with some of our favorite images of Ireland. Which one of these pictures is your favorite?

Who’d like to take up residence here?

And then there are, of course, these stunning castles.

Céad Mile Fáilte! This is @TourismIreland, and for the next three days we’re taking over IrishCentral’s Instagram account to bring you on a castle tour all around the island of Ireland. Our first stop, located just a 20-minute drive outside of Dublin city, is Malahide Castle and Gardens. Set on 250 acres of beautiful parklands nestled in the pretty seaside town of Malahide, this castle was once a fortress and private home for almost 800 years! Visit here and be wowed by its fascinating history or take a relaxing stroll through its aromatic walled gardens. Music lover? Recently, this has become a popular place to host outdoor concerts – plan your trip right and you might be lucky enough to catch one of your favorite acts performing with this stunning stronghold as their backdrop! #loveireland #irland #irlande #irlanda #irishcastles #castlesofireland #irishcastletour #tourismireland #malahidecastle #dublin (Image: Rob Durston)

If we had this little beauty along for company, the journey would be easy.

How peaceful would it be to take a Sunday stroll down this laneway?
