Irish superstars U2 will release a limited edition three-track live EP titled "Wide Awake in Europe," which includes one previously unreleased song by the rock giants, as an exclusive item in support of independent record stores on November 26.

The Irish band are participating in "Back to Black Friday," an indie retail event planned by the organizers of the annual Record Store Day. The new U2 single is designed to lure the bands followers to indie record outlets on the Friday following Thanksgiving, the day Christmas shoppers typically crowd the malls.

Limited to just 5,000 copies, U2's 12-inch vinyl release will be a much sought after buy that includes a version of the concert favorite "Mercy," recorded live in Brussels on September 21.

The song list will also feature "I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight" (recorded in Dublin in July 2009) and "Moment of Surrender" (recorded in September in Paris).
