Post Malone does a stellar version of The Auld Triangle!

We’re not quite sure how American rapper and singer Post Malone learned the words to The Auld Triangle but he wowed an Irish fan by dueting on the Irish classic when they met backstage after a gig in Los Angeles. The 22-year-old star, who is believed to have Italian heritage, sang the famous Irish song with Darragh O’Rourke after the J-1 student crashed his gig without a ticket and found himself backstage.

O’Rourke decided to make the LA trip and to chance buying a ticket at the door but when he saw a yellow production wristband on the ground outside the venue, he quickly thought to have a crack at a different route.

“I’m not going to lie, it was pretty beaten up, so I put some chewing gum on my wrist to keep it together,” he told Beat102103.com.

“I took out my phone where I had this imaginary conversation about experiencing sound issues at the theatre. I was like ‘Ahh yeah. There’s an echo in the building’. I was just winging it.

"After a while on my phone, I told the security guard that it was all sorted. I flashed the wristband, but she asked for my credentials, which I obviously didn’t have.

"She then says ‘hang on, I’ll get my manager’. So the security manager comes along, flashes at the wristband with his torch, and lets me through. I couldn’t contain myself.”
