Overnight viral sensation John Horgan, otherwise known as the "Singing Cork Barman", has professionally recorded a song for charity.

A video of Horgan singing Jimmy McCarthy’s ‘Bright Blue Rose’ while serving pints at the Crossroads bar in Knockavilla, County Cork, went viral after it was posted on social media last week

The video appeared all over Irish media and has been viewed on Facebook over 570k times.

After seeing the video of the talented barman, Leo Fitzgerald of Music Row Studios contacted Horgan to record a charity version of ‘Bright Blue Rose.’

Fitzgerald told Cork Today with Patricia Messenger on C103 radio that he was impressed by Horgan’s talent.

"Even professionals who perform on stage and in bands find the studio difficult at times – but John came in like a guy doing it for many years, we were amazed,” he said.

One euro of the proceeds from every single, which will be on sale at the Crossroads Bar for €5, will be donated to the Cork branch of the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. You can also buy the track on CD of MP3 download here www.musicrowstudios.com.
