Kate Middleton is rumored to be set to walk up the aisle in a dress by the British fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
Sarah Burton, who took over from the late McQueen after he took his own life last year, has been tipped to land one of the most coveted design jobs of the century.
The princess in waiting is understood to like a wedding dress worn by Sarah Buys, the fashion journalist married to the son of Camilla Parker Bowles which was designed by Burton.
But the true identity of the designer will remain a secret until the big day in April, and the involvement of the McQueen fashion house is being denied.
A royal spokesperson refused to elaborate on the rumors.
“We always knew that there would be a lot of speculation about the appointment of the designer.
Because Catherine Middleton is keen to keep this private, we are not responding to this in any way at all. This is about the 10th one we’ve been asked about in the last three months and it’s getting a bit ridiculous.”
Middleton will marry Prince William at Westminster Abbey on April 29.
