“The World’s End” is the the third installment in the unofficially titled “Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy” written by Simon Pegg and directed by Edgar Wright and is set to be released in 2013.

Written in the vein of their previous comedy flicks, “Hot Fuzz” and “Shaun of the Dead,” this third installment promises a few laughs among its quirky storyline which features Simon Pegg’s character attempting to reunite a group of old friends in order to finish the pub crawl they started 20 years ago. However, instead of a night on the town the men find themselves to be the only thing standing in the way of a body snatcher-style apocalypse.

The movie stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Eddie Marsan and Paddy Considine. Speaking about the filming process of the movie, Considine, who has previously starred in such films as “In America” and “Hot Fuzz” said the shoot for “The World’s End” was one of the toughest he has ever experienced, Digitalspy.com reports:

"It was hard - we were up against it - weather-wise, schedule-wise... it was tough," he said. "But we kept ourselves amused and when one [of us] was dipping, somebody else rallied round and pulled them out. We were a little gang of five against the world - well, six, including Edgar.

“The World’s End” is due to arrive in the U.S this August 23, 2013.
