Arriving in New York to play the Beacon Theatre One Direction were greeted by thunderous screams from their loving fans. The UK “X Factor” creation, made up of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson are creating a massive stir in the US.

Having appeared on the “Today Show” last March One Direction have become a major name in the US. Even President Barack Obama’s 12-year-old daughter is a big fan and had the chance to see them live this week at the Patroit Center, in Virginia.

The tour began last week at Uncasville, Connecticut and is set to travel on to numerous locations. Tickets are continuing to sell fast.

The band is set to make a variety of stops on their tour, including US cities across the nation, Canadian cities, and countries overseas.

As the young band continues to break record such as rocketing to number one in the US Billboard charts, which not ever the Beatle managed to do. It’s amazing to think of how much they have achieved since they formed in 2010.

They have garnered a number of awards, including Best Group, Best Video, Best British Single and Favorite UK Newcomer. The World Tour promises to be a memorable and rewarding event, and One Direction tickets are on every young fan's wish list.

However with tour dates stretching right into next year one wonders if Niall Horan and the One Directions boys will be able to keep this fan fervor going until then.

The band certainly made their gratitude felt on Saturday at the Beacon. Not only did they mention the numbers (that 2 million copies of “What Makes You Beautiful” have sold and 700,000 copies of “Up All Night”) but they also thanked their crazed fans.

Niall Horan said “You guys have been absolutely incredible. Not just today, but over the last year and a half One Direction has been together”.

Lets see what the next year and a half holds.
