Millions of American tuned in to witness a special performance by Irish musician Hozier on Tuesday night’s David Letterman Show.
The Wicklow native performed his rendition of ‘Take Me to Church,’ the title track from his 2013 EP.
The performance went down a storm as the in-house audience gave a massive cheer – with commentators on social media now hoping that Hozier can prove to be a major hit in America.
Letterman took to the stage and asked Hozier’s band where they were from and told them was a “pleasure to meet him.”
Letterman called over to his long time musical director Paul Shaffer “Nice, eh Paul?” to which he responded, “Beautiful.”
