Irish LGBT group LGBT Noise presents short film ‘Armagayddon’ – a thought-provoking satire of marriage equality naysayers.

The Marriage Equality Referendum will take place this coming Spring in Ireland and Taoiseach Enda Kenny announced that the government will be campaigning for same sex marriage.

Meet Mary and John – they haven’t left the house in the two years following the referendum. They’re hiding from the horrid equality running rampant in the streets – they’ve even locked their son Michael up in a box, and are ‘homeschooling’ him by showing him pictures of women.

Panic ensues when the couple’s gay friend Adam drops by to leave them some groceries.

The short drama, written by Tara Flynn and Kevin McGahern, ends with the tagline, “Marriage Equality: It’s not the end of the world, lads.”

LGBT Noise will be holding a March for Marriage from Dublin’s City Hall on August 24 at 3pm.
