IN an amazing coincidence, coming on Saturday, February 7 to the north Jersey Shore are some more performers emulating the highly personal and informal style of the kitchen session. Brookdale Community College's Irish Heritage Series in Lincroft presents the "Kitchen Quartet" featuring original members Kierdan Jordan, Shannon Dunne, Sean McComiskey and Cleek Schrey joined by Josh Dukes for this concert. Jordan and Dunne are two of the finest American dancers paying homage to the older form of Irish step dancing or sean nos. Box player McComiskey (son of Billy) and fiddler Schrey bring the music of old masters like the late Sean McGlynn and Paddy Reynolds to life as a young tandem who have played together for years. Flute player/percussionist Dukes, who plays with them frequently in the greater Washington, D.C. area, should be welcome addition to the cast allowing Schrey to do some stepping as well. The show is at 8 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center of Brookdale's main campus (785 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, New Jersey) just off of Exit 109 on the Garden State Parkway. Call 732-224-2315.
