Casper Walsh and Eskimo Supreme new seriously Dublin track racks up over 200k on YouTube. Is this the start of a rap revolution in Ireland?

The Dublin rap duo Versatile, aka Casper Walsh and Eskimo Supreme’s new track “Ketamine” is taking off on YouTube hitting the number one slot in Ireland and racking up over 200k views so far.

Versatile’s latest album managed to get over 92k views on YouTube just 24 hours after its launch. It’s not surprising as it’s pretty catchy but not surprisingly, with a title like “Ketamine” it’s full of drug references and bad language so may be not family listening.

The Dubs came to the public’s attention in 2017 when the Rubberbandits, comedy rap duo turned public advocates, tweeted about another top track… called “We Sell Brown”.

Again! Don’t listen to this, obviously, if you’re likely to be offended.

These Versatile lads are consistently class. Brilliant Irish rap and always have class beats https://t.co/5jjdaLytCm

We’re loving that rap groups in Ireland are really on the up. At the end of last year the Belfast city, Irish speaking rap duo KNEECAP got some serious attention for their latest song C.E.A.R.T.A

What do you think? Could this be the start of a rap revolution in Ireland?
