Demi Moore will be taking on the role of feminist Gloria Steinem in the upcoming biopic ‘Lovelace.’ The film will feature the life of porn-star and ‘Deep Throat’ star Linda Lovelace, who will be portrayed by Amanda Seyfried.

IMDb.com writes that the story of the film is about Linda Lovelace “who is used and abused by the porn industry at the behest of her coercive husband, before taking control of her life.” The film is scheduled for release sometime this year.

Gloria Steinem was founder of the feminist magazine ‘Ms.’ in which she wrote a profile regarding the pornographic film ‘Deep Throat.’ Of Lovelace’s performance in the film, Steinem wrote that “the actress was coerced and beaten into making porn,” reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Moore adds her name to an already extensive list of A-list stars for the new project. She’ll be working alongside not only Amanda Seyfried, but also Eric Roberts, Hank Azaria, and James Franco, among several others.
