Colin Farrell picked up the Irish equivalent of an Oscar on Saturday night - but  he hardly stayed around long enough to party.

Instead, he jetted off right after the ceremony in Dublin to Los Angeles with girlfriend Alicja Bachleda to be with their son Henry and his other son James by actress Kim Bordenave.

The once famous hellraiser hardly raised a glass as he accepted the award and thanked Alicja for all her support.

“I’d like to thank Alicja for so many things. Thank you sweetheart, you've brought a lot of beauty into my life," he said.

Alicja told the Evening Herald that she too was delighted, especially as he won the best actor award for the film 'Ondine' where they met each other on the set.

"That makes it even better, I'm so proud of him, it's just great that he won it for Ondine," she said.

Also splitting the Dublin scene early were actors Matt Dillon and Aidan Quinn who also did not hand around after the awards.
