Latest reports in the tabloid paper Komsomolskaya Pravda link Ireland's U2 with a headline slot for the 80th birthday party for the last Soviet leader in London's Royal Albert Hall early next year.

Other celebrities rumored to be taking part in the big birthday bash are Jose Carreras, Hugh Grant, Elizabeth Hurley, Alan Rickman, and Magnus Fiennes.
