A green army of 70 million is being called on to support the Irish team in the Rugby World Cup.

A new promotional video rallying support for the Irish team in the Rugby World Cup brings views on a breathtaking video through Ireland and reminds views of the resilience and achievements of the little island.

Emotions are already running high in Ireland as captain Paul O’Connell and the buys in green prepare to play their first match of the Rugby World Cup, in Cardiff, Wales, against Canada. This video released by the supermarket chain Lidl to rally support around the globe for the Irish team.

Described as “spine tingling” the video is “an ode to our world cup heroes. A message from the shores of Ireland, through the hearts and minds of the 70 million strong Irish diaspora and onto the pitch with our boys in green.”

From the Cliffs of Moher, to the Burren and to the home of rugby in Ireland, the Aviva Stadium in Dublin this video is certainly getting fans pumped up.

Joe.ie also through their hats into the ring providing some support for Manger Joe Schidmt and the Irish team ahead of the competition. There’s was not quite so reverent but it’s certainly passionate in another way.

A Boyzone / Late Late Show mashup…the less said the better.

Dear Paulie & the boys, please light our fire at #RWC2015
