We got to taking an unofficial poll of who Irish Americans consider their top ten most popular. Irish Americans. Here is what our poll  came up with. 

Liam Neeson

The 71-year-old  action star, Liam Neeson, has created a tremendous second career for himself despite a huge personal loss when his wife, Natalie Richardson, died in a tragic ski accident. More popular than ever with the fans, Neeson remains one of the good guys of the silver screen.

President Joe Biden

Think what you will but you  have to admire the resilience and drive that took him from lowly Irish grassroots to the biggest job in the world. Fact is he just wins. His trip to Ireland in April 2023 sealed the deal as to his love for his heritage.

Maureen Dowd

Simply the best writer in the best newspaper in the world, her weekly column can raise up or destroy those in the power elite. Her descriptive powers have no equal but she plays no obvious favors.

Roots in County Clare she visits frequently. Her father was booked on the Titanic but canceled because his mother cried so much.

Tom Brady

The five time super bowl winning quarterback has had an incredible ca and showed no sign of slacking off as he sought Super Bowl ring Number 5. . His commitment to excellence and fitness was an example for all.Retired but ready for a big announcer’s booth comeback.

Saoirse Ronan

The Oscar-nominated actress is only 24   but it feels like she has been at the top forever.Brilliant performance as poor Irish emigrant in “Brooklyn” sealed the deal. That first Oscar must come soon surely.

Jimmy Fallon

Fallon did have staff problems but they were way overblown. Since taking over the Tonight Show the Irish American host has charmed millions of Americans every week night and become an outstanding champion of worthy causes --Great musician too.

Steve Colbert

CBS late night host always strikes when the iron is hot, witness his move to take over the show right before the Trump mania. He’s a decent guy off stage too, recently doing a big charity gig for the Irish Arts Center in New York.

Caroline Kennedy

Ambassador to Australia and previously to Japan where she did the US proud in both roles. Unlike some of her relatives (RFK Junior) she has never besmirched the family name and rather, has added to the allure.

Peggy Noonan

When Ronald Reagan made those wonderfully powerful speeches the words were mostly those of Peggy Noonan chief speechwriter and now a Wall Street Journal columnist and a darned good one too.Her commentary is mildly right,and school marmish but no lover of Trump.
