While 99 percent of the world oohed and ahhed over the royal wedding of Harry and Meghan, there was a very different response north of the border in Scotland where Celtic FC, the club started by an Irish priest for Irish immigrants, were playing an important game.
Celtic FC are the powerhouse of Scottish football and their rivalry with Rangers, the Protestant supported side, was the biggest thing in Scottish soccer until Rangers went bankrupt.
Since then, Celtic have won everything in sight and the fans celebrate mightily with songs like “The Fields of Athenry.”
However, about 30,000 of them took aim at the wedding during a recent match and there was no love lost.
Warning! The chant may offend those with delicate ears.
