When there's a high profile celebrity event going on, you can be sure that makeup maestro Kate Synnott and hair guru Andrew Fitzsimmons are in town.

Los Angeles-based makeup artist Kate Synnott flew to New York to paint one of the industry's most beautiful faces ahead of the Met Gala.

The Dublin native, who is on the books of major US agency The Wall Group, was on call to transform supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for the "Heavenly Bodies" themed extravaganza.

Synnott, who was formerly National Lead Artist for the Charlotte Tilbury brand, ensured Huntington-Whiteley radiated her signature glowing, understated makeup look.

Thanks to cosmetics from Tom Ford, the A-lister omitted ethereal beauty in keeping with the night's theme.

Synnott regularly works with top talent on both the Hollywood scene and internationally.

Her clientele includes Nicole Kidman, Cara and Poppy Delevingne, Emma Stone, Ashley Graham, Candice Swanepoel, and former Miss World Olivia Culpo.

She was even on hand to makeover iconic actress Lauren Hutton (74) for a recent LOVE Magazine shoot.

Her clients also include household name brands such as Jimmy Choo, Dior, Calvin Klein, Beats by Dre, and Armani.

Meanwhile, wherever the Kardashian/Jenner clan go, Ballinteer native Andrew Fitzsimmons is likely to be in close proximity.

Last night's event was no exception, as Fitzsimmons was tasked with hairstyling 20-year-old Kylie Jenner for her first red carpet appearance since her daughter Stormi was born.

Dubliner Fitzsimmons has been a regular on the celebrity hairdressing scene for years.

However, long before he was on speed dial for the elite, he honed his craft as a young teenager spending his summer holidays working in a local hair salon.

Aged 14, he made the decision to pursue the trade full time and drop out of school - some 16 years later he is undoubtedly at the top of his field.

The New York-based coiffeur, who has a massive following of 175,000 on social media, now counts the Kardashian sisters, Ashley Graham, Susan Sarandon, Karlie Kloss, Bella Hadid, and Joan Smalls among his clientele.
