Celtic saw their lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League slide to a single point as two goals from Kenny Miller gave Rangers victory in the first Old Firm derby of the season.

The former Celtic striker piled on the agony for the Bhoys with his two early goals.

Rangers surged into the lead at the eight-minute mark after some terrible defending from Celtic.

Miller won the ball from Kris Boyd and then drove past Stephen McManus and Glenn Loovens to an ear-splitting celebration at Ibrox.

He found the back of the net again at 16 minutes after again getting past Loovens to hit a low shot in for the second goal.

The Scottish champions were forced to concede a goal at 25 minbutes through a penalty but it was Rangers day.

They ended the game 2-1 winners.
