Susan Boyle has spoken out on bullying after revealing that she was pushed to the brink of suicide by young teenage girls who taunted her when she was younger.


She was speaking to the News of the World newspaper.

"When I was 17, did I think about doing something nasty/" she said,talking about the torment she went through.

"It was all psychological,I was damaged, I also had to go and see a doctor who gave me treatment."she revealed.

She addressed other victims of bullying in the interview urging them to get professional help.

"You musn't be afraid to do that.It's not a sign of weakness.It gave me the confidence to fight back.

"In my case it was a small group of teenage girls" she revealed. "They are the worst kind. It can really hold you back and damage you. Mental bullying is the worst kind of bullying. "

She also ruled out any love affairs in the immediate future.

"I get cheeky approaches but I' just ignore them.Who'd want a nag like me." she said.

"I think I'll skip having a man in my life, my job is to sing."
