Colin Farrell’s upcoming film could knock Robert Pattinson off the number one vampire spot.

We all know how much Twihards the world over obsess over English actor Robert Pattinson. The leading man of Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight” is one of the most popular bloodsuckers on the entertainment scene. But Irish hunk Colin Farrell could change all of that with his new film “Fright Night”.

The Irish hunk’s new film is due out in August and sees Farrell play the part of a secret vampire called Gerry, whose neighbor believes he is responsible for a numerous suspicious deaths in their town.

Speaking about any potential rivalry between the films, Fright Night costar Christopher Mintz-Plasse said there was no competition.

"They got Robert Pattinson who's a stud but then we got Colin Farrell who's got the age and the studliness," Mintz-Plasse told E News.

"It's a good funny scary movie," he added. "Their vampires glitter but ours actually die in the sunlight."
