Rebel Wilson

The 27-year-old actress doesn't hold a grudge against Russell for abusing her once when she approached his table as he was having dinner with Nicole Kidman, who she wanted to thank for paying for a scholarship she won to study comedy in New York.

In fact, Rebel really wants to work with the 'Les Miserables' star at some point in the future.

Speaking at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night, she said: "I actually think he's an amazing actor, I think he's the best Australian actor and I love his work. It would be so amazing to work with him, I just hope he doesn't tell me to 'f**k off' again!"

Rebel hosted the ceremony at the Sony Pictures Studio Lot in Culver City, Los Angeles, and dressed up as 'Iron Man' and Lady Gaga as well as appearing in spoof 'deleted scenes' from 'Les Misérables', 'Magic Mike' and 'Life of Pi'.

Rebel also won the Breakthrough Performance award for her role in 'Pitch Perfect' and shared the gong for Best Musical Performance with her 'Pitch Perfect' castmates.

She was also praised by her co-star and friend Kelley Jakle who insists Rebel is just as funny when the cameras stop rolling.

Speaking at the glitzy event, she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Rebel is probably even funnier in real life than she is on screen. She is so much fun and was amazing to work with.

"I feel like we worked with her on 'Pitch Perfect' right when her career was taking off. No one is surprised that Rebel has become such a big star. She's such an amazing person."

It was announced at the end of the show that Rebel will also host the MTV EMAs in Amsterdam on November 10.
