Gerard Depardieu makes fun of his own in-flight public urination as ‘Asterix and Obelix’ - VIDEO

French film star Gerard Depardieu saw the funny side of his public urination on a CityJet flight to Ireland, mid-August.

Depardieu is currently filming "Astérix et Obélix: On Her Majesty's Secret Service", some of which was filmed in Wicklow.

In August, on a CityJet flight from Paris to Dublin, Depardieu who was traveling with his co-star Edouard Baer informed the cabin crew that he needed the bathroom. When the cabin crew told him to wait until the plane had taken off he became agitated. Eventually the actor urinated in the aisle of the plane.

Depardieu's new skit pokes fun at his own situation. The character Obelix is known for his obsession of eating boar. In the skit he throws a tantrum when he learns that he has to wait until takeoff to dine on swine.
