Lionsgate, the owner of Summit Entertainment, the “Twilight” studio have said they would be happy to do a follow up movie if author Stephenie Meyer decides to pen another book.
Lionsgate Co-Chair Rob Friedman said “if she (Meyer) wishes to do it, we’ll be there to support her.”
Posting an official response on her website Meyer’s wrote.
“It's actually a very nice feeling to know that both Lionsgate and Summit would like to make another Twilight movie if I were ever to write another Twilight book. So, thanks for the support, Lionsgate and Summit. I look forward to working for the first time with new friends at Lionsgate and working again with my old friends at Summit!”

Meyer’s did begin writing a fifth novel called “Midnight Sun” a few years back, but she quit after a few chapters were leaked online.
The “Twilight” movies have grossed over $2 billion worldwide. Her “Twilight” novels have sold 70 million copies worldwide.
When asked in a previous interview if he would appear in another ‘Twilight’ movie, Robert Pattinson (25) said: “I’d be curious what Stephenie would write, but I just think I’d probably be too old. I’m already too old.”
