The 39-year-old actress is well aware that relying on technology can be damaging for relationships due to lack of face-to-face communication, but she admits she can't part with her device.
Speaking to 'Entertainment Tonight', she said: "I'm addicted to my phone, yeah. Right now, people have virtual relationships - it's with real people, but it's still a virtual relationship.
"So much of business is done virtually, it's hard to connect with people and talk with them, so everything's about perception, and I think we're alienating ourselves from human interaction."
Meanwhile, Amy - who has three-year-old daughter Aviana with fiancé Darren Le Gallo - previously revealed that she forgets that she's famous and is shocked when people stop her on the streets.
She said last year: "I still think I'm like the poor girl from Colorado who worked three jobs to buy a car. That's still my mentality, so I'll be walking down the street, and I forget what I do and who I am.
Someone will come up to me and say hi, and I'm thinking, 'I must know you,' and I realise that, no, I don't know them and they don't know me. At all!"
