A competition has been launched in Ireland to find the most unromantic Irish man of 2012. The winner will be sent away to Cyprus, home of the goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite.

Irish women all over the world can log on to MostUnromanticMan.ie to explain why her boyfriend, fiancee, husband, or partner, deserves the title. They must also enter a photo of the man in question to be in with a chance to win. It will be then be down to the public to vote on who deserves the title.

Maria Slye from the Cyprus Tourism Organization said, “the reaction to the competition last year was huge and the reasons cited demonstrates that Irish men have a lot of brushing up to do when it comes to romance!”
