Sinead O'Connor has responded to the suicidal Twitter messages that brought police to her door last Wednesday night, reports KoVideo.net.
Her followers had alerted the authorities after a series of messages on Twitter portrayed her weak mental state.
She tweeted: "Had to go psychiatrist for routine renew prescription etc. She says I'm a bad mum and mental for talking so openly about sex in public. So now I wish suicide wud kill me. All this s--t we're not supposed to say. Including suicidal feelings, sex, etc. U just get treated like a crazy person. I want to go...To heaven SO bad. Have for yrs...But I don't wanna abandon my kids. But if I cud die without them knowing I did it myself I wud. An I know every1 will say I'm a c--- for saying that.. But f--- all this s--- we're 'not supposed to say'. I'm so tired. 24 yrs...Of being treated like a crazy person. Can't manage any more. Badly wish cud die without it ruining my kids lives. Anyway.. If any1 knows how I can kill myself...Without my kids finding out I did it deliberately pls tell me asa f--kin p."
Now, the singer has posted a letter on her website to let fans know she is okay.
She wrote: “I do believe suicide is a sin. Because u may as well have murdered every one who loves u even remotely. Including 'God'. And we all have people who adore us.. Even if we think we don't. And its not only ok but MANDATORY u SAY when u feel suicidal and ask for help. And anyone who criticises u can f--- off so they can for themselves and is only afraid of their own 'madness.'"
She also tweeted: "Am fine. All is well. Am sorry upset people. Better out than in."
