A new poll carried out by Quinnipiac University shows that 58 percent of registered voters in the United States "would never vote" for Sarah Palin of Donald Trump in the 2012 Presidential Election.
Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Polling Institute, told Yahoo "Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee are in the best shape. Sarah Palin and Donald Trump suffer from the reality that, as our mothers told us, 'You never get a second chance to make a first impression.'"
This independent poll sought to record US voter's enthusiasm for potential Republican candidates. The polls showed that former Governors Mitt Romney of Massachusetts and Mike Huckabee of Arkansas topped the poll in enthusiasm.
Thirty-eight percent said they would "consider voting" for Romney while 15 percent said they were enthusiastic about him. With relation to Huckabeee 34 percent said they would consider voting for him and 13 percent are enthusiastic about his candidacy.
Palin's results showed that 15 percent were enthusiastic about her candidacy. However, only 24 percent said they would consider voting for her. Only nine percent of people were enthusiastic about Trump while 26 percent said they would consider voting for him.
The 2012 election candidacy still remains up for grabs as 15 percent of GOP and Republican-leaners say they don't know who they would support.
