Do you know a man or woman who'd be prepared to don a wedding dress and go to Coppers for charity? It's hardly the "Strip and Dip" now is it?!

Back at the beginning of Ireland’s heatwave 2,500 Irish women broke the Guinness World Record for the most people skinny dipping in what they dubbed Strip and Dip all in aid of cancer! Now a group of Irish ladies are aiming to break the world record for the amazing of people wearing a wedding dress.

Slightly more clothed, and indoors, women and men are being invited to “Rock the Frock” to break the world record for the largest gathering of “brides” in the world. The event will take place in the famed Dublin nightclub Copper Face Jacks (that’s reason enough to go right!) on September 15, 2018, and will reach money for the Marie Keating Foundation, Pieta House and 180th Lucan South Scout Group.

More than 2,500 women entered the record books yesterday when they stripped off at a secluded, sun-kissed Co. Wicklow beach to take part in the largest-ever skinny dip. https://t.co/r090NE4zrZ pic.twitter.com/2IHo7kTfjR

The current world record for “largest gathering of brides” is held by the Suzhou Huqiu Bridal Investment Co. in China, who managed to get 908 brides in one venue in October 2016. We’re pretty sure this Dublin night club gather can do better.

The Rock the Frock 2018 event is being hosted by Ann Power and Sheena Crotty. Irish TV broadcasters Anna Daly and Sile Seoige and a host of brilliant brides in the Phoenix Park who announced the event which will take place on September 15th.

At the launch Seoige said “I was thrilled to be asked to be involved in supporting the launch of Rock The Frock 2018 – such a  fun and quirky idea and great fun too

“Whatever your age, male or female, throw on a wedding dress, come down and join in on the fun on September 15.”
