“The O’Reilly Factor” has long been hailed as “the most watched cable news show on TV,” but it looks like Bill O’Reilly’s reign may be coming to an end.

The Irish-American political pundit was beat out by fellow conservative commentator Glenn Beck, whose Fox show has been receiving higher ratings.

According to last Friday’s cable TV news ratings, “Glenn Beck Show” was the most watched news program with 2,590,000 viewers.

O’Reilly’s Fox show ranked in at number two with 2,185,000 viewers.

It seems U.S. conservatives are looking for a fresher face to replace O’Reilly as their figurehead, and the 45-year-old libertarian Beck may just be the man for the job.

Time magazine has described Beck as the “new populist superstar of Fox News.”

Sorry Bill, looks like it’s out with the old, in with the new.
