December 2025 marks 100 years since the passing of Lady Ardilaun, and to mark the occasion, the doors of the ancestral family home, Ashford Castle, will be thrown open for a very special weekend.
An Audience at Ashford Castle with the Guinness Family invites history buffs and fans of the Netflix drama to spend a weekend in the company of four members of the family.
The fun begins with a talk with academic Dr. Keven Egan, known for his work on the Guinness family.
This will be followed on Saturday afternoon with a special in-conversation session with the family in the castle's cinema room.
This will include Charles Plunkett - the great-great-gandson of Sir Benjamin Lee Guinness via his daughter Anne, who features in the series, as well as Lord Iveagh, Arthur Edward Guinness, the fourth Earl of Iveagh, and great-great-great-grandson of Benjamin Lee Guinness through his son Edward.

Also joining the discussion will be Susan Woodruff, the great-great-granddaughter of Sir Benjamin Lee Guinness through his son, Captain Benjamin Lee Guinness junior, and her brother, Sir Kenelm Guinness.
The afternoon will unfold over personal reflections and intimate stories you won't find in the history books before joining the family for pre-dinner drinks in the castle's wine cellar.
From there, the evening will progress into a formal dinner in the Connacht Room, and throughout the course of the weekend, guests are encouraged to explore the estate and retrace the lakeside walks once taken by Lady Ardilaun and indulge in a spot of golf or falconry.
