Chris Matthews said on his MSNBC program ‘Hardball’ on Tuesday that viewers should be wary of the racial division within the presidential election that the GOP is attempting to incite.

This wasn’t Matthews’ first time claiming that the GOP is attempting to make the upcoming election a matter of race. He charged Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee, on the same matter.

On Tuesday, Matthews asserted that the GOP has “tucked” in “radical stuff” into their party’s platform for 2012 - including constitutional rights for unborn children, more concessions to the NRA and opposition to marriage equality.

He heeded voters to pay attention for "a relentless dog whistle to the white voter, a whistle that treats black voters with disdain, that treats white people like well, well-trained canines."
