Tim Robbins and Mark Ruffalo has signed on for "Thanks for Sharing" a movie which follow characters working through a 12-step program for recovering sex addicts in New York City. The movie was written by Matt Winston and Steven Blumberg the man behind "The Kids are all Right".

The news of the casting was well timed and it has greatly upped the movie's profile at the Cannes Film Festival marketplace where distributions right for the movie are still up for grabs.

Gilbert Films and Class 5 Films, who are producing, have not yet specified what roles the pair will play.

The story is about the friendship between these men that helps them to overcome temptation and to develop meaningful relationships.

Edward Norton will also be one of the producers.
