Susan Boyle is set to star in a musical about her rise fame. The singing sensation insists that she will be performing in the show: "I'm definitely going to be on stage. I'd rather that than having to sit watching people up there looking like me."

"I want to be doing the music parts, so I'll be coming in and out of the show. I'm looking forward to doing some live work. It'll be really nice to see so many of the people who have supported me in person," she told The Sun newspaper.

The show will tell Susan's life story, including her years living in her council house in Blackburn, West Lothian with her cat Pebbles.

An insider said: "Susan has incredibly loyal fans. People will be traveling from all over the world to see her perform in her own musical. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them book tickets to watch it five nights in a row."

Sources say it could go on a nationwide tour in the UK in 2011.

The “I Dream a Dream” singer suggested over the weekend that perhaps her and Rihanna could get together.

“There are certain types of music that you're good at and certain types that you're not. I mean, would I be good at R&B? I suppose you never know. Maybe me and Rihanna could get together," SuBo said.

In other news her “Britain's Got Talent” mentor Simon Cowell said the Scottish star would be the perfect performer for the April royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
