Rehearsals have started for 'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark,' the superhero musical with songs by Bono and the Edge.

The $50m stage show has had one major crisis after another, but now seems to finally be in production. It is expected to debut in the Hilton theater in November.

The new Peter Parker, Irish-American Reeve Carney, has started his singing, dancing and web weaving.

"Wow, man, I can't wait for the world to see this thing," Carney tweeted.

"It's finally happening!"

The Edge has stated that the production is “much more like an opera than a musicial.”

With Bono declaring that he is "fighting fit" again, no doubt he will also be lending a hand with the new production.
