Bob Geldof's daughter Peaches, 20, says her charity mad father is like an "Irish potato famine miser."

Peaches, who was born one day shy of St Patrick's Day in 1989, made the comment after revealing that her millionaire father never paid her pocket money.

Peaches, the second daughter of Geldof and Paula Yates, said she only started receiving money when she started writing a newspaper column/.

"Literally up till then he was the biggest tight a***... He's like an Irish potato famine miser."

Peaches has no money worries these days.

Splitting her time between Brooklyn in New York and London, the model and sometime journalist is paid about $8,000 just to show up a party.

Meanwhile, Peaches has hit out at critics who say she's too much like her tragic mom Paula who died in 2000, aged just 41 after an accidental overdose of heroin.

Peaches said: “The only problem I have about comparisons is when people say, 'Is she trying to be like her mother?' I am not trying to ape my mother because I go out because I'm young."
