Hollywood actor Paul Rudd was presented with an award last night at the 'Oscar Wilde: Honoring the Irish in Film' event.

Rudd has often spoken about his love for Irish music as a child and his interest in Irish authors. His late father, Michael Rudd was a Titanic fanatic and the family spread his ashes in Ireland after he passed away.

The star of the upcoming film “My Idiot Brother” was presented with the award at the Ebell of Los Angeles on Thursday night.

Variety has reported that the star was given the award because of his connection to his family’s UK neighbor.

Irish actor Sarah Bolger was also awarded the “Wild Card” award for her role in “The Tudors”.

The 6th annual event was hosted by the U.S.-Ireland Alliance and exemplifies the achievements of Irish actors, writers and directors.
