Ca-ching! That's the sound of Bill O'Reilly's bank balance being replenished by yet another book in his famous murdered historical figures series.

The TV adaptation of the Fox News personality’s 'Killing Lincoln' pulled a record 3.4 million viewers for the National Geographic Channel and his next book, 'Killing Jesus,' will mark the third collaboration between O'Reilly, the cable network and director Ridley Scott's Scott Free Productions.

Critics attacked the 'Killing Lincoln' show for its 'redundant melodrama' but O'Reilly was unphased.

Now, according to the Hollywood Reporter, the National Geographic Channel now plans to adapt O’Reilly's forthcoming book Killing Jesus: A History.

O'Reilly himself is slated to serve as executive producer on the book he has once again researched and written with his partner Martin Dugard. Production on the film is scheduled to begin in the fall.

'I think the popularity of Bill's franchise speaks about how O'Reilly and Dugard are turning the notch up at every possible opportunity with these new accounts of history,' NGC president Howard Owens told The Hollywood Reporter.

'Killing Lincoln proved our audience's response to factual drama. The audacity of these books is in the way Bill thinks and tells a story. We think it fits really well with the history of the bible, and we've had a lot of success in the religious genre.'

The new book reportedly follows the events leading up to the crucifixion.

'This is the big one,' O'Reilly told the Hollywood Reporter of his latest book. 'We really like working with National Geographic and Scott Free because the B.S. component is very small. These guys are right on my wavelength. We get a good screenplay, we shoot it, and we put it on.'

Killing Jesus will be published in September 24 by Henry Holt and Co.
