Nadine Coyle isn't bitter about Cheryl Cole's success. The Girls Aloud star - who now permanently lives in Los Angeles with her American football player boyfriend Jason Bell - insists she isn't in competition with her band mate over who has the best career away from the group.

The 24-year-old singer said: "I don't see it that way at all. It's not about me versus Cheryl." Girls Aloud - who are taking a well deserved break - have all been working on their solo careers, but Cheryl, 26, has had the most success, appearing as a judge on UK TV Talent show 'The X Factor' and seeing her first solo single, 'Fight For This Love' become the fastest-selling single of 2009 when it entered the UK charts at number one.

Nadine missed Cheryl's performance of the track on 'The X Factor', while the rest of the group - Kimberly Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts - were there to support Cheryl, but Nadine insists she just couldn't get back to the UK from the U.S. in time.

She said: "I was really sad to have missed it but as soon as she had finished the performance I watched it on the Internet and called her up to congratulate her. I really love 'Fight For This Love', it's really catchy. "It isn't like I go out of the way not to be at anything the girls are doing. If I was still in London I'd be out with them far more often".
