Morrissey stormed off stage in England Saturday night after being hit in the eye with a bottle.

The incident comes just three weeks after the Smiths' former frontman collapsed on stage in Swindon.

Morrissey had opened last night's concert with the words, 'It's Saturday, it's Liverpool, it's raining, it's perfect', before launching into "This Charming Man."

All went well until his second song, "Black Cloud," when he stepped to the front of the stage to shake hands with fans when someone hurled a plastic bottle of beer at him.

The startled singer stood up and said "goodnight" before walking off stage.

The crowd of some 8,000 fans began chanting "Morrissey, Morrissey, Morrissey" in an effort to bring him back but the 50-year-old said he'd had enough.

There was a chorus of boos at the Liverpool Echo theater at the announcement that the show would not go on.
