Newcomer Jennifer Lawrence has been chosen to star in "The Silver Linings Playbook," the followup to the critically acclaimed film "The Fighter,"alongside Mark Wahlberg.
The role was said to have been pursued by well established actresses like Rachel McAdams, Blake Lively, Kirsten Dunst, Rooney Mara, Olivia Wilde and more, but because of the buzz the actress has been garnering, Walhberg has picked the Oscar-Nominee to play the leading lady in the upcoming film.
"The Silver Lining Playbook" movie is a film adaptation of a novel by the same title written by Matthew Quick. The story centers around a clinically depressed man who is released from a mental institution after a few years, and has built a silver lining theory that makes him believe his life is a movie produced by God.

The 20-year-old actress will play Tiffany,the widow of the man's best friend, who secretly falls for him as the two attempt to piece their lives back together.
The role in the film will only add to the resume that is making Lawrence someone to look out for in Hollywood. She received a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her role in "Winter's Bone" and also starred in one of this summer's blockbusters "X-Men: First Class." It is is not long before the striking Jennifer Lawrence becomes a household name in the film industry.
